Full Height Shutters
As the name implies, full-height shutters cover a window or door from top to bottom. This type is a classical and popular shutter style.
When closed, full-height shutters give total privacy. As with all louvre shutters, you can adjust the slats depending on the airflow, light temperature, and privacy required. Full height shutters have an added benefit over cafe-style shutters as they reduce noise, and if desired, you can fold them back for whole window open views.

The term full height refers to the shutter covering the entire window or doorway. The shutter incorporates one complete panel from top to bottom, whether it’s from the floor to the ceiling or from the window sill to the window top.
Not only are panelled full-length shutters one of the most flexible to mount, but they’re also known for offering great flexibility in terms of functionality.
We often recommend that clients go for a mid-rail, which is a horizontal dividing rail, allowing for top and bottom shutter panels to move independently. This allows for true flexibility, giving users the option to control light yet enjoy privacy simultaneously.
The benefit of separate louvre control with a mid-height rail is similar to tier-on-tier window shutters. The significant difference being, however, is that you benefit from a solid full height panel.
Despite this recommendation, it’s worth remembering that configuration and style options are flexible to allow a certain level of individuality and adjustable functions.
